SARscape is designed as a specialized software package for processing of SAR/InSAR data, and perfectly complements ENVI's functionality for analyzing and visualizing remote sensing data of any kind. The add-on module called SARscape for ENVI is particularly useful for all current available SAR sensors and applications, where dedicated SAR processing is required in combination with data fusion techniques for SAR and optical data. SARscape is developed by sarmap.

SARscape for ENVI Advantages & Applications

By combing the strengths of SARscape and ENVI, the undoubtedly leading software for extracting information from multi- and hyperspectral imagery, the users are now able to fully utilize the complementary information content of SAR data and optical imagery in one single processing environment. "All practical applications of SAR data for food security, sustainable water supply or land degradation in developing countries require an integrative analysis of data from multiple sources.", says Dr. Francesco Holecz, Managing Director of sarmap, reflecting his long-term experience in such projects in Asia. "Thus, it was essential for us that ENVI perfectly covers these requirements.", he adds.

SARscape for ENVI can be used

• as fully featured, software based SAR processor for operational generation of high-level data products from spaceborne SAR data,

• for analysis of temporal changes in mid- and long-term monitoring missions,
• for production of georeferenced information to be further used in GIS,
• in environmental research, agriculture and forestry, urban and regional planning, ressource and catastrophy management, as well as for purposes related to civil and military security,
