Interpretation Visualization & Analysis DIVA
was developed by the HORIBA Europe Automation Division GmbH (HEAD) to assist engineers in
evaluating data from emissions testing. However, the evaluation features can be applied to
almost any engineering application. In contrast to most other evaluation tools, DIVA is
not only a self-contained program, but consists of a frame program to provide basic
functionality, e.g. data base access and a large number of integrated evaluation
components.
DIVAs 3-dimensional Iso Surface
components.
The list on the far left displayes all data available for the particular measurement
obtained from a text file or from a database. The buttons underneath represent the
available components separated in the categories GRAPHIC, MATH and TOOLS. The surface
shows the correlation between engine revolvement (RPM), torque and exhaust temperature.
The black dots on top of the surface indicate the measured data points. The same
information as iso line display is shown above. The triangle view on the right is used to
correlate individual measurements.
DIVA's correlation component
The correlation component is used to compare large data sets. It consists of a
graphical user interface with multiple options to interacively select predefined outlier
correction algorithms Within the following example the component is used to correlate
process temperatures among 7 test sites. The y axis of the color coded view (top right)
displayes the names of the considered sites (C1-C7) while the x axis shows the obtained
values for each test site among the selected time frame. The color change in site C3
indicates a significant drop of the measured temperatures. The line plot underneath the
color coded view shows the temperatures via time and the calculated trend line for each
test date. The site selection is done via mouse interaction . The window left of the color
coded view displayes the deviations among all sites on a selected date.
DIVA is completely based on IDL. It allows us fast prototyping by using state of the
art mathematical and graphical library features. With IDL the development times for new
components dropped significantly. Editing or creating components to customer specific
requests has become very easy and is highly appreciated by our customers. |
